8 Best Padel Balls UK (2026): Tubes, Multipacks and Boxes
Jamie Holt29 September 2026

Most people buy padel balls at reception, pay £6 for a tube and never think about it. Fair enough. But if you play every week, the tube you pick changes how the ball comes off the glass, and buying online in multipacks can halve the cost.
Here are the balls worth buying in the UK, what separates them, and how many to get.
Quick picks
- Best for match play: HEAD Padel Pro S+: fast, durable and widely used.
- Best Premier Padel ball: Wilson Premier Padel Speed: Wilson's Premier Padel-branded ball.

- Best for durability: HEAD Padel Pro+: made to hold pressure for longer.
- Best bulk buy: adidas Speed RX box: 24 tubes for clubs, leagues and serious regulars.

The 8 best padel balls

Best for match play
1. HEAD Padel Pro S+
- Speed version
- Tournament grade
- Padel-specific felt
HEAD's Pro S+ is the faster, "speed" version of its Padel Pro ball. HEAD says it uses a new core formula to keep pressure for longer and a felt developed specifically for padel.
It's lively off the glass, which rewards good technique and punishes loose lobs. If your club hosts competitive nights, there's a good chance this is the ball on court.
- Buy it if
- You want a lively, consistent ball for leagues and competitive games.
- Skip it if
- You're a beginner who'd benefit from a slower ball.

Best Premier Padel ball
2. Wilson Premier Padel Speed
- Speed
- Premier Padel branded
- 3 balls
This is Wilson's Premier Padel-branded speed ball, the same range you'll see on the pro tour. It's fast and bright, and feels premium out of the tube.
It's a treat for a big match, or a good gift for a padel fan. For every Tuesday night, the Bullpadel or Dunlop tubes below are cheaper.
- Buy it if
- You want the same ball as the pro tour you watch on TV.
- Skip it if
- You're buying on price. It's one of the dearer tubes.

Best everyday ball
4. Dunlop Pro Padel
- FIP certified
- Standard speed
- Built for frequent use
Dunlop pitches Pro Padel at regular players who want durability and a consistent bounce, and it's FIP certified. It's slightly less explosive than the speed balls above, which many social players prefer.
A sensible default tube if you don't have a strong preference.
- Buy it if
- You want a reliable, certified ball for regular social play.
- Skip it if
- You want a very fast ball for indoor competition.

Best for indoor and cold courts
5. adidas Speed RX
- Speed
- 3 balls
The Speed RX is adidas's faster ball. Speed balls suit indoor courts and cold UK evenings, when rubber stiffens and standard balls feel dead for the first few games.
- Buy it if
- You play indoors, or outdoors in winter when standard balls feel sluggish.
- Skip it if
- You play outdoors in summer. It can feel too quick.

Best for durability
6. HEAD Padel Pro+
- Standard speed
- Longer-lasting pressure
- 3 balls
HEAD says the Pro+ uses a core formula designed to hold pressure longer, with a felt designed to last. It's often one of the cheapest tubes from a major brand, which makes it good value for weekly socials.
- Buy it if
- You want a tube that lasts across a few sessions.
- Skip it if
- You want the fastest possible ball.

Best for beginners
7. Wilson Padel Rush 100
- Beginner/intermediate
- 3 balls
Wilson aims the Rush 100 at beginner and intermediate players. It's an inexpensive, reliable tube for your first months, when you'll lose a few balls over the fence anyway.
- Buy it if
- You're new to padel and want a cheap, decent tube.
- Skip it if
- You play competitively.

Best bulk buy
8. adidas Speed RX (box of 24 tubes)
- 72 balls
- Speed
- Box of 24 tubes
A full box of 24 tubes works out at roughly £4.50 a tube, well below most club reception prices. It's ideal for group organisers, coaches or a regular four who split the cost.
Store the box somewhere cool and dry. Unopened tubes keep well for a long time, but not forever.
- Buy it if
- You organise a league, run social nights or play three times a week.
- Skip it if
- You play weekly. Unopened balls still age eventually.
How we picked
We included balls from the major padel brands, currently sold on Amazon UK, covering speed and standard balls at different pack sizes. Product claims such as FIP certification, core and felt technology come from the manufacturer listings. We left out tennis balls sold as "padel" and unbranded multipacks with no certification information.
Speed balls vs standard balls
Speed balls (Pro S+, Premier Padel Speed, Speed RX, Premium Pro) are livelier. They suit indoor courts, cold weather and competitive players.
Standard balls are slightly slower and more controllable. They suit warm outdoor courts, beginners and long social sessions.
In a UK winter, a speed ball on an outdoor court often feels about right. In July sunshine, the same ball can fly.
How long do padel balls last?
About two to four matches once opened, less for league nights. We cover the bounce test and storage in detail in how long do padel balls last.
If you're going through a lot of tubes, a ball pressuriser can extend their life while the felt is still good. See our padel accessories guide.
Can I use tennis balls?
No. Tennis balls are larger and more pressurised, and they fly off the glass. Here's why padel balls are different.
