UK padel report 2026
A citeable snapshot of clubs, courts and singles scarcity in the UK, drawn from the Padel Court Finder directory. Use it for press, operator planning, or local research — not as a governing-body census.
Court mix
Indoor remains the minority: 264 clubs (35%) have indoor courts, 344 (45%) have outdoor courts, and 84 (11%) have covered or canopy courts. 478 list on-site parking and 552 offer racket hire.
That indoor share is why indoor padel courts and covered courts deserve their own hubs — most UK bookings still depend on the weather.
Singles courts are still scarce
Only 59 of 758 clubs (8%) list a singles court. That scarcity list is the asset behind our singles padel courts hub — journalists and operators can cite it when asking where 1v1 play actually exists.

Top cities by club count
Methodology
Counts are live directory totals, not a licence register. A club is a listing with at least one outdoor, covered or indoor court. Indoor, covered and outdoor flags can overlap at the same venue. Duplicate and messy slugs are collapsed before these totals are calculated.
