9 Best Padel Racket Sets UK (2026): 2-Player Bundles
Jamie Holt29 September 2026

Padel is a doubles game, and it tends to spread through couples, housemates and families. So the search for "padel racket set" makes sense. One purchase, two rackets, a tube of balls, and you're both ready to book a court.
Some sets are genuinely good value. Others are two mediocre rackets and some balls. Here's how to tell the difference, and when you're better off building your own.
Quick picks
- Best overall: Wilson Optix 2-Player Set: two round, forgiving rackets and three balls.
- Best for easy power: HEAD Vibe Twin Set: two soft 350g teardrops.
- Best for families: Wilson Elevate 4-Player Set: four rackets in one box.
- Best budget: Build your own: two Dunlop rackets and a tube of balls for about £100.
- For the garden only: Plastic beach padel set: not for courts, but fun for kids.

The 9 best padel racket sets

Best overall
1. Wilson Optix 2-Player Padel Set
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- Round
- 360g
- 26.3cm balance
The Optix is Wilson's beginner control racket: round, 360g, and balanced towards the handle. This set gives you two of them plus a tube of balls, so you can turn up and play.
The rackets are forgiving enough for complete beginners and solid enough that you won't want to replace them after a month. It's sold through Racketworld, a UK racket specialist, on Amazon.
- Buy it if
- Two of you are starting from scratch and want easy, controllable rackets.
- Skip it if
- One of you is much stronger or already plays. Buy separately.

Best for easy power
2. HEAD Vibe Twin Set with 3 Balls
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- Teardrop
- 350g
- 270mm balance
The HEAD Vibe is a casual all-rounder: oversized teardrop, 350g, 270mm balance and a soft fibreglass face. The teardrop gives more easy power than a round racket, and the low weight keeps it manageable.
It's a great set for couples who've played some tennis or squash and want the ball to fly a little.
- Buy it if
- You want a bit more pop than the Wilson and you both like to attack.
- Skip it if
- You prefer a round control shape.

Best adidas set
3. adidas Match Twin Set
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- Larger head
- Soft foam
- Fibreglass face
The adidas Match is the brand's entry racket. The listing highlights a larger head, soft foam and a fibreglass face for easy power. That's exactly the combination beginners need.
It's a well-made, no-surprises set.
- Buy it if
- You like adidas and want forgiving rackets with a large head.
- Skip it if
- You're price-sensitive. The Wilson set is usually a little cheaper.

Best for stronger beginners
4. HEAD Revolt Twin Bundle
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- 365g
- Large sweet spot
- Soft feel
At 365g, the Revolt is a touch heavier than the other rackets in these sets. It's more stable on blocks and wall shots, with a large sweet spot and soft feel.
A good set for ex-tennis couples or anyone who finds light rackets flimsy.
- Buy it if
- You're both reasonably strong adults and want slightly more stable rackets.
- Skip it if
- Either of you is petite or has elbow issues.

Best lightweight set
5. Wilson Optix LITE 2-Player Set
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- Round
- Low-density foam
- Fibreglass
This is the lighter version of our top pick. It keeps the same round shape but uses low-density foam for a softer feel. It's good for smaller players, juniors and anyone worried about their elbow.
- Buy it if
- You want the Optix set but lighter and softer.
- Skip it if
- You're on a budget. The standard Optix set is cheaper.

Best NOX set
6. NOX X-Zero Twin Set
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
- Round
- 3K weave
- Soft feel
The X-Zero is NOX's round, soft-feeling beginner racket, with a 3K weave for durability and a big sweet spot. It's a quality set, but it costs more than the Wilson and adidas options for similar beginner performance.
- Buy it if
- You want NOX's Spanish padel pedigree in a beginner set.
- Skip it if
- You want the best value. The Wilson set costs less.

Best for families and groups
7. Wilson Elevate 4-Player Set
- 4 rackets + 3 balls
Four rackets and a tube of balls in one box, so everyone can play without hiring. It's ideal for families, or for a group of friends who've decided padel is their new weekly thing.
At around £57 per racket with balls included, it's in line with buying four branded beginner rackets separately, and it's all in one box.
- Buy it if
- You want to kit out a whole four for holidays, work socials or the family.
- Skip it if
- Only two of you play. Buy a twin set.

Budget set
8. ianoni Padel Starter Set
- 2 rackets + 3 balls
ianoni is an Amazon-first brand rather than a padel specialist, but this set gives you two rackets and three balls for under £90. It has fewer reviews than the big-brand sets, so buy with that in mind.
For roughly the same money, the build-your-own option below gets you two branded rackets.
- Buy it if
- You want a complete set under £90 and don't mind a lesser-known brand.
- Skip it if
- You want a known brand. Build your own set below for similar money.

Garden and beach only
Plastic Beach Padel Set (2 paddles + 3 balls)
- Plastic paddles
- EVA balls
- Waterproof
To be clear: this is a toy set, not padel kit. The plastic paddles and soft balls are great for the garden, the beach or getting kids interested. Don't bring them to a club.
- Buy it if
- You want something for kids in the garden or on the beach.
- Skip it if
- You're going to a padel court. These aren't real padel rackets.
Build your own set
Two of the best-value branded beginner rackets plus a tube of good balls often costs less than a twin set, and each player can pick their own weight:
- 2 × Dunlop Lumina: hybrid, 365g, usually £40–£50 each.
- Or 2 × Dunlop Megamax: round, 360g, usually £45–£55 each.
- 1 tube of HEAD Padel Pro S+ balls: usually £8–£9.
That's roughly £90–£120 for two branded rackets and balls. If one of you needs a lighter racket, swap in a HEAD Gravity Elite (340g). All three rackets are covered in detail in our beginner racket guide.
How we picked
We included twin and four-player sets from major padel brands currently sold on Amazon UK. We checked what's in each box and the racket specs from the listing. We added one budget set from a less-established brand, with a clear caveat, because that's what many people will see first when they search. Unbranded sets with no reviews or unclear materials were left out.
Things to check before buying a set
Weight suits both players. If one of you is much bigger or stronger, a set forces a compromise. Buy separately.
It's a real padel racket. Solid, perforated face, foam core, around 340–375g. Anything much lighter, or made of plastic or wood, is a beach toy.
Balls are pressurised padel balls. Not tennis balls, which are faster and bounce differently. See padel balls vs tennis balls.
Once you've got your kit, find a court near you and book an hour. If the pair of you catch the bug, our balls guide will help keep the bounce in your game.
